Yard Sale Steal!

First, let me say THANK YOU for all your well wishes!!  I really did appreciate them!  We are finally back to normal again!

Well...as normal as we get anyway. :P

I do alot of things with the intent to blog about it.  And inevitably something comes up and I never get around to it.  Does that happen to you?

One of those things is, I thrift alot.  And I yard sale when I can (meaning when I actually get my lazy butt out of bed on a Saturday morning early enough).

But I don't want to show you what I pick up until I've 'redone' it.  Which usually sometimes never happens.  So, I have a garage of 'stuff' just waiting for me to have time.  I'm sure I'm not the only one this happens too...as I've seen pictures of some of your garages. ;)

Notice you haven't seen pictures of MINE.  heehee

Anywho...a few weeks ago I actually made it out on a Saturday morning to hit some yard sales.  I picked up quite a few nifty finds that day, but with all the Halloween hubub and decor, I'm just now getting around to putting out and showing you my MAJOR FIND!

I was so excited to find these!  I'm not even sure what their technical name is...but they are wine bottles!

Can I just say...they are so ME!

I paid $3 for the large one and $2 for the small one.  I have no idea...that might be a rip off or a steal...but I felt like it was steal.

They are very ala-Pottery Barn to me. :)

I love their aged and torn labels.

I NEED to find a third one now to complete my 'set'.  Isn't three a set?  Or a collection?  Something like that.

But until then, I'm totally in love with these in my living room on my end table!

Did I mention I LOVE them!  And for $5...makes me love them even more!!  :)

So, while on the hunt... :)

Until next time....

  1. I bought one of these at a garage sale this summer. I think it was $1 or $2. I can't remember. I have mine sitting on my hearth. I need to get two more so I too can have a collection. ;) Glad you guys are feeling better.

  7. Glad you're feeling better, Erin! I could use a good bout of stomach flu. I've got some jeans I'd like to fit into. Can you lick something and mail it to me?

    Erin,

I know that three makes one of those things, but I have to agree with Cape on the Corner. It all looks great together as it is.

Glad everyone is back to normal. Have a great weekend!

    Hugs and Blessings,
    Martha

  10. I always thought 2 was a set... so feel good about it lol!

And remember that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It's your house and if you love 'em then that's what really matters!
